Skip to content During the summer months and ending on August 31, trash, recycle containers and bulk pick up items must be at the curb by 6:00 am. During the remainder of the year, items for pick up must be at the curb by 7:00 am.
There are no Garbage, Recycle or Bulk Pick Up services on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.
By city ordinance, containers must be removed from the curb by 1:00 pm the day following collection.
Your Garbage Fee Includes a Variety of Services
Trash is collected on Wednesday of each week. There is an additional charge for more than one trash cart.
Bulk Pick Up Days are the first and third Thursdays of each month.
You must call Republic Services at 903.586.1449 to schedule a pick up and verify what items will be picked up.

Recycle Days are the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Recycle carts are free. Customers often find that if they recycle their cans, their plastics and their paper, they can avoid the charge for having a second trash cart.

With a copy of the water bill, each city of Troup water customer is entitled to one free visit to the Republic Services Greenwood Farms Landfill, 2920 FM 2767, Tyler, TX 75708, with up to 3 cubic yards of non hazardous materials each month. The load must be covered or face a fine at the landfill.
These monthly visits, meeting the load requirements as to size and being covered, are free.
